Home in Ten (“we,” “our,” “us”) takes your privacy seriously. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us at chantel@homeintenapp.com.
Short version: we collect only what we need to run the app (your email, what you check off, and payment records). We don't sell your data. Realtors can see their own clients' progress; nobody else can.
What we collect
Account information
- Email address — required for sign-in and password reset.
- Password — stored only as a hashed value (SHA-256). We never see or store your actual password.
- Name — if you choose to provide one.
Usage information
- Task progress — which tasks you've marked complete, which day you're on, when you last signed in.
- Preferences — accent color, brand name, logo (for realtor accounts).
Payment information
When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a subscription ID and status from Stripe, but we do not receive or store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your home address, Social Security number, or any government ID.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use third-party analytics that track you across other sites.
How we use your information
- To give you access to the plan you signed up for.
- To save your progress so you can come back later.
- To send transactional emails (sign-in links, password resets, receipts).
- To show realtors the progress of their own listing clients.
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
We do not use your information to train AI models or to target advertising.
Where your data lives
Your account and progress data are stored in Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL hosting provider. Supabase's privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy. The app itself is hosted on Netlify; their policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with the service providers listed above (Supabase for storage, Stripe for payments, Netlify for hosting), and only to the extent needed to run the service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Exceptions:
- Realtor accounts and their clients: if a realtor invites you to a plan, that realtor can see your name, email, and your progress on their plan. This is the core functionality of a realtor-sponsored account — they need to see how you're doing.
- Legal obligations: if required by law or a valid legal process.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage and session storage to keep you signed in, remember your current day, and store your branding preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your rights
- Access: email us and we'll tell you everything we have on you.
- Correction: you can update your email and progress from within the app; email us for anything else.
- Deletion: email us and we'll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
- Export: email us and we'll send you a JSON file of everything we've stored about you.
Children's privacy
Home in Ten is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as you have an account with us. If you cancel or delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records for legal or tax purposes (e.g., invoices related to paid subscriptions, kept for up to 7 years).
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if the change is significant, email you before it takes effect.
